AXIOMA METERING ANNOUNCED TO BE THE MOST INNOVATIVE COMPANY BY THE BALTIC ASSEMBLY

Metering device developer and manufacturer Axioma Metering has won yet another award, this time – in the Baltic Innovation Prize competition. In the event organised by the Baltic Assembly, Axioma Metering was announced to be the most innovative company in Lithuania.

“Our developed new generation ultrasound meters receive appreciation not only in the local market, but also far beyond the borders of our country. We aim towards the markets of the whole world, therefore each award is a significant recognition of our work,” said Axioma Metering CEO Ignas Vosylius, who received the award at the event held yesterday in Riga.

Baltic Assembly is a gathering of the three Baltic nations’ parliamentary representatives. Here strategic matters important to all three nations are discussed and individuals for their achievements in art, science and literature fields are awarded. The three most innovative companies receive awards as well: one from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. This year, the main Baltic Innovation Prize was awarded to the Latvian company UAV Factory, that specializes in unmanned composite airframe development and manufacturing.

Nominations for the Baltic Innovation Prize are made by the Baltic Association of Science/Technology Parks and Innovation Centres BASTIC.

Baltic Innovation Prize Competition commission’s attention was drawn by two new Lithuanian products: smart water meter Qalcosonic W1 and heat meter Qalcosonic E3.

Axioma Metering team have dedicated three years of labour for the new smart metering devices and finished developing them in 2018. The modern meters are manufactured in a factory opened this year in Kaunas Free Economic Zone, the investment reached 15 million euros.

In 2019, Axioma Metering has manufactured almost 300 thousand meters. In 2020 the company plans to increase sales by as much as 400%, by establishing its sales markets in North America, Asia, Middle East and Africa.
