Axioma Metering is starting large-scale production of the new generation ultrasonic heating energy meter Qalcosonic E3. The meter shall be used for accounting of heating or cooling energy in individual houses and block of flats, enterprises or organisations. It is foreseen that current production of Qalcosonic E1 meters will be gradually substituted for the new generation device.

“It took one year to create and prepare the new meter for production. While designing the meter, we aimed at providing water management companies with a wider range of capabilities and convenience.” – says Mantvydas Vaičius, the Head of Commercial Department at Axioma Metering.
The new meter Qalcosonic E3 will be programmed in a flexible way: it will be feasible to select the unit of heating energy measurement (MWh, GCal, GJ) and the place of installation by the installers themselves.
Qalcosonic E3 is possible to be incorporated into the network of the Internet of Things.
New meter mechanism highly reduces consumption of power supply; the new meter has a battery life time of 16 years and in practice, data might be read through wired MBus connection with no restrictions. While devising its structure, innovative solutions were adopted: body without location bolts; cables of thermal sensors and battery soldered directly to the panel; and no extra joints.

A few major foreign companies have already shared their interest in Qalcosonic E3; the first samples have been sent to the USA, Switzerland and the Middle East.
According to Mantvydas Vaičius, customers and partners of the company are curious about a smart ultrasonic water meter Qalcosonic W1 which will go into large-scale production next year.
The new meter will be manufactured in a factory which is currently being constructed with an investment of 11 mm Euros by Axioma Metering. In the factory, 1.3 mm accounting devices are planned to be produced a year.
